BUSSELTON JETTY

Location – Busselton Foreshore

Features – 1.5km in length, low fishing platforms, large variety of species.

Suitable for - Older children  

Best in - Low winds. 

 

BUSSELTON HOSPITAL BEACH

Location – Turn off Bussell HWY at Mill Road and follow to the end.

Features – Sandy beach with close access.

Suitable for – All ages

Best in – South or light winds. 

 

ABBEY BOAT RAMP - BUSSELTON 

Location – Turn off Bussell HWY onto Newtown Beach Rd follow to the end. Turn left on Geographe Bay Rd then turn right into the carpark and boat ramp area. 

Features – Small jetty, rocks and easy access to sandy beaches.

Suitable for – All ages  

Best in – South or light winds. 

 

TOBY’S INLET - RIVERMOUTH

Location – Turn off Caves road on the track west of Wyndham resort.

Features – Sandy beach with seasonally opening river-mouth.

Suitable for – All ages

Best in – South or light winds. 

 

QUINDALUP BEACH

Location – Turn off Caves road onto Elmore Rd follow to the end and then turn Right onto Geographe Bay Rd

Features – There are many areas along this road to pull over and explore the tracks down to the sandy beach.

Suitable for – All ages

Best in – South east to south west or light winds.

 

QUINDALUP BOAT RAMP

Location – Turn off Caves road onto Elmore Rd follow to the end and then turn Right onto Geographe Bay Rd for approx. 2km

Features – Small jetty and sandy beach

Suitable for – All ages (Jetty suitable for older children as it is narrow and can be slippery, also gets busy in peak boating times)

Best in – South east to south west or light winds.

 

OLD DUNSBOROUGH BOAT RAMP

Location – From the centre of town take Naturaliste TCE. Turn right onto Gibney St and then left onto Gifford Rd and then right onto Finlayson St and follow that to the boat ramp.

Features – Rocky headland and a wide Jetty with wheelchair access.

Known to locals as fish rock.

Suitable for – Older children

Best in – South, west or light winds.

 

CASTLE ROCK

Location – Turn off Caves road onto Cape Naturaliste Rd. Turn right onto Meelup Beach Rd and right onto Castle Rock Rd.

Features – Rocks and sandy beach. This is a very sheltered area with toilets, a BBQ and picnic tables.

Suitable for – All ages

Best in – South to west or light winds.

 

EAGLE BAY 

Location – Turn off Caves road onto Cape Naturaliste Rd. Turn right onto Meelup Beach Rd past Meelup Beach. Continue along the Meelup Beach Eagle Bay Rd.

Features – The beaches stretching from Meelup to Eagle Bay are a mixture of rocks and sand and access is easy from one of the many car parks on the side of the road.

Suitable for – All ages

Best in – South east to west or light winds.

 

BUNKER BAY 

Location – Turn off Caves road onto Cape Naturaliste Rd. Turn right onto Bunker Bay Rd then turn right into the Bunker Bay Café carpark.

Features –A long sandy beach with access via the boardwalk alongside the café. Toilet facilities.

Suitable for – All ages

Best in – South east to west or light winds and low swell.

 

SMITHS BEACH (Southern End)

Location – Turn right off Caves road onto Canal Rocks and then right onto Smiths Beach Rd.

Features –A long sandy beach. 

Suitable for – Older children (the shore break can be powerful).

Best in – The Summer months with south east to west or light winds and low swell.
